Section 03 · Shop procedure
Six steps, no surprises
The complaint we hear most about other shops is the invoice that grew. Here's the sequence every car follows through C&R, and where you get a say.

- 01
Intake
You describe the symptom. We log mileage, VIN, and what you've already tried.
- 02
Diagnosis
Scan tool, lift inspection, road test. We isolate cause, not just codes.
- 03
Written estimate
Parts and labour itemised. Body jobs include a panel-by-panel plan.
- 04
Your approval
Nothing gets ordered or opened until you say yes on the phone.
- 05
Repair
Mechanical and body work run in-house, in the order that saves you days.
- 06
Road test & handover
We drive it, re-scan it, and show you the old parts if you want them.
Common questions
- Do you charge for diagnosis?
- Diagnostic time is quoted upfront and credited into the repair when you approve the work.
- Can you work with my insurer?
- Yes. We document damage with photos and itemised parts lists for collision claims.
- Do you use OEM parts?
- Where it matters, yes. Where a quality aftermarket part saves you real money, we say so and let you choose.
- How long will my car be here?
- Most mechanical jobs are same-day or next-day. Body jobs average four to five days.
